Class Policies

Class Supplies

Supply lists will be sent out by email within 24 hours after you register. A reminder email will be sent one week before the class.  Each student will receive a copy of needed patterns and materials.  Please note copywritten materials cannot be shared between students.

 

Each student will need to bring the following:

  • Sewing Machine

  • Thread/Bobbins/Needles

  • Any other notions that the student requires

On The Bias Designs will provide the following for use in each classroom:

  • Cutting mats and Rotary Cutter

  • Scissors

  • Ironing board and Iron

 

Fabric, thread, needles and other supplies are available for purchase.  Some of our classes may require kits or we may offer kits as an option for purchase.

Our guest instructors may provide kits or materials during class for purchase; in those cases fees will need to be paid directly to the instructor.

 

Food and Beverage

We ask that beverages be held in a container with a lid. We offer coffee, tea, and water at no charge for our students. As a general rule, we have a no food policy in the classroom. If a lunch break is part of a class, we can provide a list of local area resturants.

 

Cancellations and Refunds

Classes may be cancelled due to low enrollment. If a class is cancelled by us (instructor emergency, low enrollment, etc.), a full refund will be given.

 

If student should need to cancel their attendance for a class:

  • Two weeks or more before the start of class a full refund of class fees (not including service fees) will be returned.

  • Less than two weeks notice 75% refund (not including service fees) will be returned.

  • Cancellation under seven days will result in no refund.

  • If the student is a no-show, no refund will be given.

 

Cancelled classes due to weather related reasons will be rescheduled at least two weeks following original date as room and instructor resources are available.
